Alastair and I were in San Diego over the holidays, and on our last day there we attended the La Jolla New Year’s Day Polar Bear Plunge, our third time at the event. It’s an awesome way to begin a New Year! The weather was perfect: air temp in the low 60s, water temp in the upper 50s. An estimated 400 people participated, according to organizers from the La Jolla Cove Swim Club.
