After 16 years as a volunteer at Oracle State Park, I decided to also start working with the Arizona Trail Association, doing trail building and maintenance. On the 15th of September, I was with a group of volunteers led by Assistant Trail Director Zach MacDonald for the Singletrack Trail Building Day near Flagstaff. We were helping to build a piece of the nearly 13 miles of new trail to get the Babbitt Ranch passage off of ranch roads and onto new singletrack.
Then on the 28th, I joined REI and the ATA in celebrating National Public Lands Day by helping out with some maintenance activities on Passage 4 / Temporal Gulch, which is just north of Sonoita, Arizona.
Looking forward to doing more work on the trails, and also to participating again in AZT In A Day on October 12!
