I completed my first 100 mile ride yesterday – GABA (Great Arizona Bicycling Association) Tumacacori Century! It went much better than expected, given that my longest ride this year was 75 miles last weekend, and I felt that was much harder than this ride. Riding in a well organized event and with people you enjoy who keep you motivated makes a huge difference! The ride started in Sahuarita and went almost to the Mexican border and back. Our group average 16 mph, which was better than I had anticipated.
